Introduction to Profiling definition¶

Profiling definitions are rules used by NACVIEW to identify and classify endpoints based on their characteristics such as manufacturer, device model, operating system family, name, and version. These definitions enable automatic device classification and can be used in access policies to apply different network access rules based on the profiled device type.
