Introduction to Event definition¶

Event definitions allow NACVIEW to detect and react to specific events from external systems or network devices. When a matching event is detected (via syslog or SNMP), the system can automatically perform actions such as sending notifications, blocking network access, or executing HTTP/Syslog requests. This feature enables automated security responses and integration with third-party security systems.
